This kit was designed around a problem we see constantly with other transmission cooler setups: the cooler gets mounted directly in the front A-frame area, then later the truck gets a front-mount intercooler, heat exchanger, or other front-end hardware and the entire transmission cooler setup has to be relocated.
Our setup avoids that problem from the start.
Instead of relying on a large dedicated mounting bracket, the cooler is mounted in a way that keeps the front of the truck open for future intercooler or heat-exchanger installations. That means a cleaner installation now and less rework later. We have been installing coolers this manner for years and works great.

Depending on availability, the kit will include either a Mishimoto MMTC-SP-13N or Derale 13633 transmission cooler. Proven in 1,500+ HP street applications with zero issues. We build and tune our own transmissions in-house, and we work with high-performance vehicles every day. This is something we’ve tested, used, and know works.
NOTE: If you have a 2008+ 4L80E, please make note we do not provide case fittings for them as they use a different thread pitch than pre 2008 units. Also note that the dropdown selection asks if you have a center lube 4L80e or non center lube. If your outlet fittings are close together you have a non center lube unit, if your outlet fittings are separated by about 15 inches, you have a center (rear) lube 4L80E. This kit is designed to eliminate/bypass the radiator’s internal transmission cooler
